Here’s how this I-person spent 2 days: 🌄 Day 1: Mountains & Art 📍 Mt Maunganui Summit 40-min hike up/down (solo-friendly!) Reward: Azure ocean views + paddleboarders below 🚣♀️ Bonus: Free-range sheep at the trailhead 🐑 📍 Mt Maunganui Beach SUP/surf hotspot (watched from shore with envy 🏄♂️) 📍 Tauranga Art Gallery Under renovation 😅 Saw a tiny pop-up exhibit instead. 📍 City Centre Street art hunt + Bobby’s Fish Market (their "small" chips = family-sized 🍟) 🥧 Day 2: Pies & Missed Adventures 📍 Patrick’s Pies Goldstar Bakery’s roast duck pie = worth the hype! 🦆 ❌ The "Almost" List: McLaren Falls glowworm kayak ($50 on BookMe) Little Big Market (1st Sat only) Saturday Farmers’ Market (wrong weekend sigh) 📍 Detour to Whangamata: Donut Island kayak tour ($75, 2hrs) Verdict: Gorgeous but...
