🚌 Public Transport: Rotorua → Taupo: InterCity bus (8:55-9:50). Return: 4:10-5:15. 🚶 My Walking Route 1️⃣ Taupo i-SITE → McDonald’s Plane (10min walk) – breakfast in a cockpit! ✈️🍳 2️⃣ Uber to Huka Falls Jet Boat (15min) – gets you UNDER the falls! 🚤💦 3️⃣ Walk back (45min total): Stop at The Honey Hive 🍯 (ice cream + souvenirs). End at Huka Falls lookout – best colors at noon! 🌈 4️⃣ Uber to Taupo Museum → Lakeside stroll → Bus back. 🌟 Highlights Jet Boat: Worth it for the waterfall close-up! (Less thrills, more views vs. Queenstown.) Huka Falls: Sun = brighter blues! ☀️ Taupo Museum: Maori whare (house) – remove shoes! 👟 ⚠️ Warning DO NOT forget items on the jet boat (like I did with my camera 😭).
