A booking mix-up led me to a homestay in Whangārei, where I met the gracious host Mr. Chen and his wonderfully candid partner (whose name I regrettably missed in our lively conversation!).💞 🦉 Kiwi Magic at the Museum Despite my short stay, Mr. Chen insisted on driving me to the Kiwi North Museum, sharing fascinating tidbits about New Zealand’s iconic bird: ✨• "When scared, they bury their heads—leaving their plump bottoms exposed!" 😅 • Critically endangered, now protected like pandas.📅 His kindness didn’t stop there—he shuttled me twice to/from a wilderness park, wrapping me in warmth far from home.🚡 ❤️ The Kiwi Spirit Mr. Chen mused: "Kiwis (the birds AND people) share that same endearing clumsiness and big hearts."
