🇵🇪 Cusco One-Day Itinerary | This is All You Need!

Perched at 3,400m, Cusco—the former capital of the Inca Empire—feels like another Lhasa ⛰️. Spend an afternoon wandering its streets, where history and modernity collide in the most fascinating way. 📍 Walking Route (All on Foot!) Starting from your hotel: 1️⃣ ARTESANÍAS ASUNTA (Souvenir Shop) The cheapest among all souvenir stores we visited! Fully stocked with fridge magnets, alpaca shawls, scarves, bags, etc. Two shops (one big, one small)—fixed prices (no haggling needed!). ❤️ 2️⃣ KUSYKAY Peruvian Craft Food (Lunch Spot) Check my last post for food details~ 3️⃣ Mirador de San Cristóbal (Viewpoint) The highest vantage point in Cusco! By day, watch local dancers perform; by night, see the city glow like a galaxy with golden lights cascading down the hills. ✨ 4️⃣ Plaza de Armas (Main Square) The heartbeat of Cusco—where people lounge on grass and steps, stretching time slow and easy. Sundays bring lively performances! 5️⃣ Mercado San Pedro (Local Market) 🥭 A bustling market selling souvenirs, jewelry, fruits, bread, fresh juices, chocolates, etc. Skip pricey souvenirs—just eat your way through! 6️⃣ Organika Restaurant (Dinner) ⚠️ Altitude Sickness Tips Despite handling Tibet (4,800m) and Yunnan (4,200m) fine, Cusco (3,400m) hit me hard: headaches, dizziness, nausea (even waking up sick at night!). ❌ Coca tea from hotels didn't help much. ✅ Buy altitude meds locally if worried! 🍽️ Food Recs See my previous post for detailed restaurant & street food picks! #Peru #TravelPeru #TravelDiaries #WorldTravel #Cusco
