🇵🇪 Finally Tried the Peruvian Spot I’ve Had Bookmarked for 3 Years!
It Did NOT Disappoint! 🇵🇪 Stumbled upon this place—apparently it’s been called one of the best Peruvian restaurants in LA, even recommended by Ma Boqian! Not sure how authentic it is, but it’s definitely delicious! 😋🎉 LOMO SALTADO ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A solid beef stir-fry with potatoes and carrots over rice—huge portion and really fragrant! The rice had a slight salty taste, almost like it was cooked in broth (just my guess, I’m no chef 😅). Got a bit heavy toward the end, but overall tasty—just not mind-blowing. CEVICHE MIXED ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Citrus-marinated seafood! 🍋🦐 With so many heavy flavors in LA lately, this bright, tangy ceviche was a refreshing surprise! Generous portion and felt light too—though it does get tangier as you eat, so be warned if you’re sensitive to sour flavors! Their homemade Aji chili sauce spread on their soft, warm bread 🍞 with a little butter was absolutely heavenly—flavorful but not greasy! 📍 Mario's Peruvian & Seafood 5786 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038 #LosAngeles #PeruvianFood #LAEats #FoodReview #CevicheLover #HiddenGem #MelroseEats #ComfortFood #TrySomethingNew #FoodieApproved #PeruvianFlavors #GoodEatsLA
