🇵🇹 I Officially Declare Porto the Most Charming City I've Ever Visit
👣 City Walk Itinerary 🎀 Day 1: "Old Town Stroll" All attractions within <300m/5min walk of each other. 🎀 Day 2: "Douro River & Luís I Bridge from Every Angle" Only two longer walks: 1️⃣ 1km/20min 2️⃣ 550m/11min Pro Tip: Start late to catch: Golden hour at Miradouro da Vitória Sunset on the bridge Nightfall at Miradouro da Serra do Pilar Wear comfy shoes—lots of hills! 🌉 Best Luís I Bridge Photo Spots (Ranked!) (Miradouro = viewpoint) 1️⃣ Miradouro da Serra do Pilar The postcard-perfect Porto skyline . 2️⃣ Miradouro de Porto y Duero Stroll by the river with trams rumbling overhead. 3️⃣ Miradouro da Vitória Sunset paints the cathedral, old town, and bridge in gold. 4️⃣ Escada dos Guindais Peek at the bridge through alleys (bonus if you catch a tram!). 5️⃣ Miradouro a Ponte D. Luís I Least favorite (lacks the old-town backdrop). ✨ Hidden Gem: Miradouro da Igreja de São Lourenço Left: São Lourenço Church. Right: Sunset-lit old town. On the church terrace, locals sing, strum guitars, and lounge at dusk. ⛪ Blue-Tiled Churches (Azulejos) 1️⃣ Santo Ildefonso Church Photogenic steps + street market nearby. 2️⃣ Chapel of Souls (Capela das Almas) Most vibrant tiles! 3️⃣ Carmo Church Subtle gray-blue tiles (side facade only). 4️⃣ Porto Cathedral Skip the interior—admire it from viewpoint #3 instead. 5️⃣ Igreja de Santo António dos Congregados Shoot from Rua de 31 de Janeiro for layered depth (Fig 16). ☀️ Other Highlights 🚞 São Bento Station Stunning tilework (10min photo stop). ☕ Majestic Café Where J.K. Rowling allegedly wrote Harry Potter! 🍟 McDonald’s Imperial Pretty, but not worth a special trip. 🌞 Clérigos Tower Chill on the lawn with sunbathing locals. #EuropeTravel #PortoGuide #Portugal #CityWalk #TravelTips
