🇷🇴 | Hearty Local Dishes in Cluj-Napoca, Romania
As the title suggests, when visiting Cluj-Napoca, you must indulge in the local cuisine! I found a highly-rated local restaurant on Google, and of course, we had to check it out! PLATOUL COROANA REGELUI (Grilled Pork Ribs): Delicious, tender yet not dry, and well-marinated. This dish is synonymous with satisfaction when it comes to meat-eating! Subjective Recommendation Index: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ PASTRAV UMPLUT CU CIUPERCI (Grilled Trout): Simply seasoned and pan-fried, the absence of any fishy smell indicates the freshness of the fish. A great choice for those who enjoy fish. Subjective Recommendation Index: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ CIORBA DE BURTA (Cream Tripe Soup): A local specialty that's consistently good at every establishment. This soup is incredibly warming on a cold winter day, providing a cozy comfort. Subjective Recommendation Index: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ VARZA A LA CLUJ (Cabbage, Meat, and Rice Cake): A nutritionally rich dish, a specialty of Cluj, featuring vegetables, meat, and rice, offering dietary fiber, protein, and carbohydrates. The taste is acceptable... Subjective Recommendation Index: ⭐️⭐️ BASTONASE DIN PIEPT DE PUI (Finger-Licking Chicken): The chicken was a bit dry and reminded me of mass-produced chicken strips. Fried foods are generally not bad, but there's no need to come here specifically for this average chicken strip... The accompanying grilled vegetables were quite good, though! Subjective Recommendation Index: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Snaps from inside the restaurant and outside. This restaurant is a great place to experience authentic local flavors. If you're in Cluj and want to try the local dishes, this is a place to consider.
