This private residence was built in 1883 by its original owner, Robert McHenry, one of the earliest pioneers and wealthiest figures in the Modesto area of California. It has since been maintained by the GALLO Foundation, which not only offers free tours but also provides guides. ✨The mansion features exquisitely preserved interiors, including original hardwood floors, ornate fireplaces, and period-appropriate furnishings that transport visitors back in time. The surrounding gardens, though modest, add to the property's historic charm with their classic landscaping. 🩷The volunteer guiding us today was incredibly dedicated, sharing stories about the architecture and the life of the original owner, gradually immersing us in the past. ✔️The elderly guide was also extremely patient, waiting as we took photos from every angle.
