🇺🇸 11.21 Macy‘s is 99% Ready for Christmas 🎄

The holiday spirit is taking over NYC—I can’t wait for Christmas! Everything’s starting to look magical ✨. Here’s a little slice of my day 📔: After my only morning class, I accidentally hopped on the M4 bus instead of the 104. Ended up on the east side of Central Park 🚌💨. Decided to go with the flow and visit the Museum of the City of New York on the Upper East Side. Not sure about ticket prices, I showed my Columbia ID, and the ticket office said: $1 😱! I handed over a dollar bill and got in—what a steal! The film in the basement was fantastic 🎥: it covered NYC’s history and timeline. I was totally captivated—learning how New York evolved from a British settlement to a bustling trade port, then grew with skyscrapers, infrastructure, and cultural diversity into the city it is today 🗽❤️. Floors 2 and 3 were okay, but nothing special, so I headed home by bus. Cooked myself a hearty spicy malatang for lunch 🍲—just added a splash of milk to my hotpot base and stirred in a big spoonful of sesame paste toward the end. Absolutely YUM! Later, I met my friend under the Brooklyn Bridge 📸. We snapped photos at the Jay Chou photo spot 🎶, walked halfway across the bridge to take in the night views, but it was way too cold ❄️, so we turned back pretty quickly lol. Grabbed a quick dinner at Time Out Market—tried some sushi 🍣, and the eel one was pretty good! Headed back to Manhattan by subway, got off at 34th St, and explored Macy’s. The holiday decor was everywhere 🎁! The basement level had the same old discounts (nothing exciting), but the second-floor women’s shoe section was packed 👠. On the way home, stopped at Target and picked up two tubs of ice cream 🍦—Ben & Jerry’s and Van Leeuwen—both on sale: 2 for $10! Went for the black tea and coffee toffee flavors. They were decent, nothing mind-blowing though. #NYCLife #ChristmasInNYC #NYCDiaries #HolidayVibes #MacyHeraldSquare #BrooklynBridge #ColumbiaLife #SpicyMalatang #IceCreamLover
