🇺🇸 2-Day Houston Travel Guide & Food Recommendations

I had a three-day business trip to Houston and managed to squeeze in some serious eating and one full day of exploring. Gotta say — Houston isn’t exactly packed with attractions 😂 but the food is AMAZING! The city is pretty spread out, and ride-shares aren’t always convenient, so I’d recommend renting a car. 🏨 We stayed at AC Marriott Downtown — wouldn’t really recommend 😅 The area felt pretty empty and there were quite a few homeless people around downtown. 🛸 NASA Space Center: Make sure to arrive by 3 PM at the latest to catch the tram tour to the outdoor exhibits. We got there around 4 PM and missed all the shows and trams. 💦 Waterwall Park: A bit underwhelming tbh — the inner wall wasn’t even running when we went 🥲 🦖 Natural Science Museum: Super kid-friendly with lots of cool exhibits. 🎨 MFAH (The Museum of Fine Arts): Didn’t make it there this time 😂 💡 Tip: If you plan to visit 3+ attractions, grab a CityPASS for around $76 — way more cost-effective than individual tickets! 🍽️ FOOD (Texas does NOT play when it comes to food 🥲 Almost everything I tried was a win!): Eunice 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Must-order: Shrimp Étouffée Also great: Brussels sprouts, Gumbo Heads-up: The chargrilled oysters were a bit too rich. Their bread pudding is delicious but probably a calorie bomb! Truth BBQ 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Highly recommended by our local Texan colleague — did NOT disappoint! Faves: Beef brisket (tender, perfect fat ratio), pork ribs (smoky + juicy), spicy sausage (a tad salty but delicious) Must-try side: Corn pudding — tasted like sweet cornbread 🤤 Traveler’s Table 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Great vibe and tasty overall, but the curry crab was a bit salty. French Riviera 🔥🔥🔥⭐ Pretty latte art ☕ but average coffee. Only serves baked goods and egg-based brunch items — still tasty though! Sichuan Spice Hot Pot & BBQ 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Brought here by my Sichuanese friends — authentic, affordable, and great service! #FoodieHeaven #Houston #HoustonLife #HoustonFood #VisitHouston #TravelUSA
