🌵 JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa Escaped my "North American Ninguta" during the Christmas season to this gem! 🎄✨ After 3 days in Las Vegas, we drove ~4 hours to Scottsdale for a 4-day, 3-night "do nothing" holiday mode 🔛 This Marriott resort radiates "old money" elegance nestled at the foot of Camelback Mountain. With its own golf course, tennis courts, pools, and dining options, you never need to leave! 🏌️‍♀️🍹 The lobby features wooden beams, vintage chandeliers, and a desert-chic Christmas tree 🎄. Days were spent sunbathing, evenings swimming at sunset, and nights gathered around fire pits roasting marshmallows under starry skies 🌌🔥 — pure magic! 🤎 🍽 Restaurant Recommendations (all within 20 mins): 1️⃣ ZU Izakaya 🍢🍎🍎🍎🍎 Unexpectedly delicious Japanese skewers! Loved the oysters and soft-shell crab (we ordered seconds!). Definitely worth a visit. 2️⃣ Pescada 🐟🍎🍎🍎 Christmas Eve 4-course dinner. Seafood was decent but not memorable. Beautiful decor for celebrations — though we were seated near the drafty door (brrr! 🥶). Mostly older crowd — very "Scottsdale old money" 💸. 3️⃣ Rita’s Cantina & Bar 🌮🍎🍎🍎🍎 Mexican restaurant inside the resort. Slow service on Christmas (🥲) but food was excellent! Must-tries: Roasted Salsa & Guacamole Trio, Beef Short Rib, Grilled Octopus. Holiday cocktails were festive! 🍹 Perfect for those seeking tranquility amid Arizona’s natural wonders.
