🇺🇸 Boise Weekend ｜ Spontaneous Trip to the “Mini Desert” 🏜️

Headed to Bruneau Dunes State Park – aka Idaho’s low-budget version of the Sahara 😂 I basically dragged my coworker to go with me (mostly so I could practice highway driving 🚗💨). When I heard it was 100 miles away, I almost chickened out… but we made it! Drove 80 mph all the way back like a pro 🏆 The park itself is surreal – rolling sand dunes right in the middle of nowhere. You can sandboard here… or at least you’re supposed to… I was SO ready to live out my desert-skater dreams 🛹… but turns out they stop renting sandboards when temps hit over 80°F 🌡️ We arrived 15 minutes too late and missed out. Major sad girl hours 😭✨ (But imagine how cool it would’ve looked sliding down those dunes?? 😎) Still – the views were epic, the silence was golden, and the photos turned out 📸💛 If you go: ✅ Go early – avoid heat + secure sandboard rentals ✅ Bring water, sunglasses, and closed-toe shoes ✅ Stay for sunset – the light over the dunes is magical Not bad for a random Saturday adventure! #BruneauDunes #IdahoRoadTrip #BoiseAdventures #SandboardingFail #USATravel #IdahoDIY #WeekendVibes #DesertVibes #TravelBlunders
