๐บ๐ธ Branson, Missouri & Big Cedar Lodge Resort ๐๏ธโจ
Itโs been three months since we moved from California to Oklahoma. A while back, while shopping at Bass Pro, a salesperson pitched us a trip to Branson, Missouri โ calling it the โLas Vegas of the Midwestโ and a perfect week-long getaway. My husband looked at me and asked, โWhat do you think?โ ๐ง I said, โSure, we could use a short vacation!โ ๐ And just like that, we booked a 4-day trip from September 25th to 28th. After almost a month of waiting, we finally set off for Branson! ๐๐จ We hit the road at 8 AM on the 25th. It was a 5.5-hour drive east, with a few stops along the way. We had lunch in a small town โ my husband said it tasted โjust like mom and dadโs cookingโ ๐ (I wasnโt so convinced!). After a quick stop in Arkansas to soak in a bit of local culture, we arrived at 4 PM at our resort โ Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri, right on Table Rock Lake. ๐๏ธ๐ถ The resort offered delicious food and unmatched views ๐ฝ๏ธ๐ . With multiple amazing restaurants and dining options, everything was available โ from casual eats to fine dining. Whether enjoying a meal by the lake or a backyard BBQ, every experience was memorable. The resort also boasted world-class activities for all ages: golf ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ, swimming pools ๐, water sports on Table Rock Lake, fishing ๐ฃ, walking trails, lake cruises, playgrounds, a bowling alley, shooting ranges, and more! Best of all, shuttle services were provided to every attraction โ no exhausting walks, just pure relaxation. ๐๐โโ๏ธ On the 26th, we explored the resort and indulged in more good food. On the 27th, we drove just 15 minutes to downtown Branson ๐๏ธ. With a population of only around 10,000, Branson is packed with shows and exhibitions โ dancing, music, acrobatics, magic, horseback performances, museums, and more! ๐ญ๐คนโโ๏ธ It has grown into a wholesome, family-friendly tourist destination and is known as the โLive Music Capital of the Worldโ ๐ต๐ธ. We hopped on a free tour bus for a quick overview of the town. Though we didnโt have time to see a show, take a cruise, or explore deeply, we still got a feel for the townโs charm, beauty, and the warmth of its people โค๏ธ๐. At noon on the 28th, we left the resort and said goodbye to Branson โ but who knows, we might just return someday! ๐โจ #BransonMO #BigCedarLodge #TableRockLake #MissouriTravel #FamilyVacation #USAResort #TravelDiary
