Just a 2-hour drive from Chicago, Milwaukee is a perfect weekend getaway! 🚗💨 You can cover most attractions in one day. If you’re also planning to visit Madison, consider staying overnight — there’s an amazing company there (like a giant real-life escape room — more in the next post! 😉). 🍽️ EAT Public Market 📍400 N Water St, Milwaukee, WI 53202 You can’t visit Wisconsin without trying sausages 🌭, cheese 🧀, and beer! 🍺 This market is compact but packed with flavor. We loved Foltz Family Market — they sell fresh sausages with various flavors, grilled on the spot. Their sausages are meaty with bits of cartilage, served in a bun with pickles — so good! My husband also tried their burger — juicy and full of flavor 🍔. The cheese shop across offers Wisconsin’s famous mini-cheeses (see Pic 5) — a must-try! Also don’t miss the bakery — their cakes, cookies, and tiramisu are delicious and not too sweet! 🍰 🍺 DRINK New Glarus Beer A Wisconsin-exclusive brew 🍺 (Pic 6)! You can’t get it outside the state — and it’s worth trying. Available in stores and gas stations. Lakefront Brewery 📍1872 N Commerce St, Milwaukee, WI 53212 A local brewery offering tours (book in advance!). You can sample a variety of beers at the front desk — generous pours! 🏛️ PLAY Milwaukee Art Museum 📍700 N Art Museum Dr, Milwaukee, WI 53202 🎫 $22 (student discounts available) A filming location for Transformers 3! This futuristic museum is super photogenic and perfect for art lovers. 📸 Harley-Davidson Museum 📍400 W Canal St, Milwaukee, WI 53201 🎫 $22 (student discounts available) A must for motorcycle enthusiasts 🏍️— dive into the history and culture of Harley-Davidson! 🏀 FUN We passed by the Bucks’ home arena and caught an NBA game! Even though I’m not a basketball fan, the energy was electric — I couldn’t help but cheer and clap along!
