๐บ๐ธ German Town near Seattle: Flowers, Music & Heaven! ๐ธ๐ต
After a 2-hour and 25-minute drive from Seattle, we finally arrived in the charming Bavarian-style village of Leavenworth! ๐๐จ We booked a private tour through โAA Beijing Meets Seattleโ โ loved the name! Our guide, Daliu, a talkative Beijinger, made the trip even more enjoyable with his familiar accent and warm hospitality. Hereโs what made our day: 1๏ธโฃ Must-Try German Roasted Pork Knuckle ๐ You canโt leave without trying the pork knuckle! We went to Ludwigโs Gasthaus (921 Front St). We ordered a single portion, and it was huge โ enough for two! The skin was incredibly crispy, and the meat was juicy and flavorful. Served with tangy sauerkraut that balanced the richness perfectly. Pro tip: sprinkle extra pepper for even more taste! ๐ 2๏ธโฃ Two Quirky Museums Worth Visiting ๐๏ธ The Nutcracker Museum: A private collection of over 5,000 nutcrackers in all shapes and sizes! Leavenworth History Museum: Learn about the townโs fascinating past. Entry is only $5 per person โ totally worth it! 3๏ธโฃ Stroll Down Front Street ๐๏ธ Lined with vibrant German-style buildings, cute boutiques, and European handicrafts. Even window-shopping here is a delight! Donโt miss the live German music performances โ so much fun! ๐ถ 4๏ธโฃ Whistlepunk Ice Cream ๐ฆ Creamy, delicious German-style ice cream โ generous servings and amazing flavor! 5๏ธโฃ Coffee Break at Starbucks โ Yes, even in a German town, Starbucks fits right in! This one has a drive-thru and plenty of seating. Weekends here are lively โ full of families, kids, and even dogs! ๐ถ๐ Despite the 31ยฐC heat, everyone was in great spirits, soaking up the sun and joy. #SeattleDayTrip #WeekendInSeattle #SeattleFood #Leavenworth #GermanVillage #TravelWA
