🇺🇸 I'd Fly to New York Endlessly Just for These Museums!

This was my second NYC trip dedicated entirely to museums – and I discovered some unforgettable gems! 🏛️ Museum Hopping Diary 📍 The Met (MET) The Yuan Dynasty 'Medicine Buddha' mural from Guang Sheng Temple left me speechless again. Having recently visited Dunhuang, this masterpiece brought back vivid memories. (Pro tip: The MET's pay-what-you-wish policy for NY residents doesn't apply to tourists... ouch!) 💸 📍 American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) MIND-BLOWING! Even if you "don't like museums," you'll love this. The new entrance feels like an alien cave (perfect Instagram spot!), while the classic entrance remains grand. The space show made me feel wonderfully insignificant in the universe. The microscopic world exhibit was hilariously interactive – adults were giggling as much as kids! Warning: One day isn't enough. Plan wisely! 📍 The Shed – 'Luna Luna' Exhibition A happy accident! This "abandoned amusement park" art show featured 1980s works by now-famous artists. Not usually my style, but the light/music finale was magical – like watching memories fade as the "park" disappeared. Perfect for lovers of contemporary art + eerie carnival vibes. 💔 My European Heart Breaks... After enjoying free museums in London/Europe, NYC's entry fees hurt! (Missing the British Museum extra hard now...) #NYCMuseums #METMasterpieces #AMNH #ArtLover #NYCExhibits #TravelForArt
