🇺🇸 Izakaya Tora – So Good, I’ll Definitely Be Back! 🏮✨

Back for more Japanese food — and yes, it’s still absolutely delicious! So happy, so satisfied ☺️❤️ We ordered: 🍚 A uni & tuna bowl 🦐 Sweet shrimp & salmon sashimi 🍜 A cheesy uni udon (HIGHLY recommend!) 🍢 A few yakitori skewers 🍣 A 10-piece sushi omakase plate Final total after tax + tip: ~$150 per person. 🌟 Highlights: The sashimi and uni were super fresh, naturally sweet, and beautifully plated 🎨🐟 That uni udon was a total showstopper — rich, creamy, and unforgettable! If you love uni and cheese, you’ll fall hard for this one 💛 👎 Lowlights: The miso soup was way too salty for my taste — skip it 🙅‍♀️ The yakitori was just okay — I’d give it a solid 75/100 📉 And… it’s all the way on the west side 😩 (Whose fault is that? Not mine! lol) 💬 A Little Rant: Some say that a $150 omakase in LA is “low-end” and you can’t expect much. But since when did “omakase” become synonymous with “expensive and exclusive”? Just slapping the word “omakase” on something doesn’t justify an unreasonable price — and it definitely doesn’t mean we can’t share honest opinions. As a customer who’s paying, I absolutely have the right to share my experience 🗣️💁‍♀️ Let’s not let overpriced, average food become the norm. Good food should speak for itself — not hide behind a fancy label 🍣✊ #IzakayaTora #LAJapanese #UniLover #SushiTime #FoodRant #EatWellSpeakUp
