🇺🇸 LA Food Discovery: Ate Here 3 Days Straight Without Any Planning!
The area around Burbank felt pretty safe, so I wandered around and stumbled upon Porto's Bakery and Cafe. Seeing a line outside, I decided to check it out—and wow, everything was so good that I ended up eating here for three days straight without a single disappointment! Over the next few days, I noticed people carrying their signature bags everywhere—clearly a local favorite! 🛍️👀 Here’s what I tried (and loved!): 🥔 Classic Potato Ball – Stuffed with seasoned meat, bell peppers, and cilantro—so flavorful and satisfying! 🥧 Various Meat Pies – Different shapes and fillings, all delicious! 🍰 Napoleon Cake – Not overly sweet, with a slightly chewy texture. Not the crispy kind, but still amazing—I bought at least five during my stay! 🥕 Carrot Cake – Moist and not too sweet—absolutely delicious! 🍈 Guava Pastry – Refreshing with real fruit pulp inside. I think it's seasonal! 🥭 Mango Mousse – Very photogenic! A bit sweet but still enjoyable. 🍫 Chocolate Cake – Rich with creamy filling inside. 🍓 Strawberry Mojito (Non-Alcoholic) – Refreshing, tangy, and not too sweet. 🌯 Signature Breakfast Wrap – Packed with chicken, stewed veggies, and more—huge portion that lasted me two meals! Served with a cilantro-green chili sauce—so good! ❤️ ☕ Porto's Cortadito Coffee – The only item that didn’t suit my taste. Bitter, smoky, sweet, and creamy all at once—I drank it anyway! 😅 Heard it’s an iconic local bakery in LA—affordable, tasty, and totally worth trying! What’s a bakery or cafe you discovered by accident but ended up loving? 🥐🍩 Or are you team sweet or team savory when it comes to pastries?
