🇺🇸 Las Vegas | Herbs & Rye 🌿

— Ranked #25 Bar in North America 2024 Came here because of the ranking, but honestly… it was a bit of a letdown. 😕 🍸 Drink Experience We ordered five signature cocktails. Some were good, some were just… meh: ✅ Pisco Sour – A classic. Tasted similar to a Whiskey Sour but with a stronger herbal note (true to the name "Herbs & Rye"). Well-balanced and smooth. ✅ Ramos Gin Fizz – Their most popular drink. The bartender puts serious effort into shaking it to get that fluffy foam. Light texture, but the creamy foam got a bit heavy after a while. ➖ Vieux Carré – Recommended by the server, but it tasted like a basic Old Fashioned. Nothing special. ➖ Aviation & The Boulevardier – Forgettable. Not our style—wouldn’t order again. 🥩 Food Experience 🔻 Ribeye Steak – Heard the steak was famous, but… not worth it. The plating was seriously bare—just a steak thrown on a plate, no sides or garnish, almost like street food style. 🥩😬 The doneness was okay, but the meat was dry and felt more like medium-well instead of medium-rare. Not juicy at all—maybe an off day in the kitchen? 🎭 Overall Vibe The atmosphere is nice—cool retro bar feel. Some classic cocktails are decent, but nothing wowed us. For a top-ranked bar, neither the drinks nor the food met expectations. Prices aren’t high for Vegas, but the experience didn’t live up to the hype. Come for the old-school American bar vibe, but lower your expectations for the food and drinks. 🍹📉 Have you ever been to a highly-rated spot that didn’t meet the hype? 🍸👀 Or do you have a go-to cocktail bar in Vegas that never disappoints?
