πΊπΈ Las Vegas β Delicious Chinese Food π
Second time in Vegas β tried the buffets last trip, nothing memorable, so this time I focused on comforting my Chinese stomach. π First meal: Tian Peng Lu Mian Had their signature beef noodles β authentic Chinese flavor, mildly spicy, beef tender and well-stewed π Braised beef slices were okay, but the cucumber salad was a surprisingly tasty hit π π Second meal: Taiwanese breakfast spot (recommended on π ) The rice ball was just okay; small wontons were pretty good. The fried dough stick (youtiao) β not as good as mainland Chinaβs, but better than Singaporeβs π My husbandβs shrimp omelet was sweet and not tasty at all! We tend to overorder, but $75+ for four people (including tip) felt overpriced for breakfast. π The real recommendation: Shanghai Mama! We actually meant to go to Shanghai Taste, but parked and accidentally walked into Shanghai Mama. The ambiance is really nice β after seeing so many dated Chinese restaurants in the U.S., this one feels upscale! But then I noticed over 80% of customers were non-Chinese β some even live-streaming while eating π My daughter found one streamer and spotted us in the background! Seeing so many foreigners made me worry the flavors wouldnβt be authentic, but every dish was delicious: π¦ Crispy duck with sweet bean sauce β so good! π Braised lionβs head meatballs (4 huge ones) β flavorful and satisfying. π₯¬ Dry-fried string beans β wiped clean instantly. π₯ Twice-cooked pork β not greasy, spice level perfect even for this Suzhou native π Total came to just over $100, with 20% tip around $130. We had leftovers for breakfast the next day β 100% recommend! π #ChineseFood #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGemEats #MyFoodTreasures #GlobalFoodies
