🇺🇸 Milwaukee | Hawaiian Food Locomoco 🍛
📍 ONO KINE GRINDS Never expected to find Hawaiian food beyond poke here in what feels like the middle of nowhere! 😍 🍔 Classic Locomoco: Haven’t been to Hawaii so not sure how “authentic” it is, but this version comes with a huge, thick burger patty smothered in rich gravy and topped with a perfect sunny-side-up egg 🍳. So delicious—almost feels like a Hawaiian-style rice bowl 😂. 🐟 Ahi Tuna Poke: Marinated in sesame oil—super fragrant! Served with two small bowls of rice (loved the purple rice with a hint of salt). You can also buy their ahi tuna separately for $24/lb. 🥗 Sides: Both entrees came with the same sides: macaroni salad (a classic American kid favorite 😆) and pickled carrot strips with bits of orange(?) — tangy, sweet, and refreshing. Perfect little appetizer to balance the meal. 🏪 The shop is pretty small with just 2-3 tables. Most people order takeout. They also sell some groceries like snacks, Hawaiian shirts ☀️, and even expensive coffee beans—kinda feels like a fancy hotel gift shop! 😅 One minor complaint: their payment system asks for a tip even if you’re just buying groceries… and you can’t select 0%... But overall—great food, great spot! ✅ #MadisonWI #Milwaukee #HawaiianFood #Locomoco #MilwaukeeEats #UWMadison
