I can’t believe I just found out about this—an incredible Chinese Dragon-themed lantern festival that started back in September! It’s located closer than you think, and it’s absolutely mesmerizing. Apparently, they host a different themed lantern show every year! 📍 Location: Boerner Botanical GardensHales Corners, Wisconsin🚗 Perfect for families and friends from:ChicagoMilwaukeeMadison 🎪 What’s there? Lantern displays 🐉✨Acrobatic shows and face-changing performances 🎭Kids’ activities and games 🧸Food stalls with both Western and Chinese options 🥙🍢(I tried the roujiamo and lamb skewers—decent and affordable!) 🎟️ Important: You MUST buy tickets in advance online!Google: China Lights Wisconsin Parking is FREE, with multiple lots available. Shuttle buses run from farther lots. ⚠️ Pro tip: Remember which parking lot you used (e.g., golf course, beer garden)! It’s easy to get on the wrong shuttle after the show—I almost did!📅 Ends November 2nd!If you’re anywhere nearby, don’t miss it. This is one of the most impressive Chinese lantern festivals I’ve seen in the US!
