🇺🇸 My U.S. College Tour: Cornell University in Ithaca 🏫
Spring break is the perfect time for college visits! I planned the route and schedule early, booked campus tours, reserved hotels, and set off right as break began. 🗓️🚗 🧳 Prepping for a Road Trip from Canada to the U.S.: Applied and paid for the I94 form online to save time at the border. 📄💻 Made sure to bring vehicle registration and insurance documents. 🚙📑 For U.S. toll highways—I didn’t plan ahead for E-ZPass, so I downloaded Tolls NY and entered my info. Still not 100% sure it worked! 🛣️🤞 Got a 2GB/15-day eSIM from Airalo for $12—super convenient and affordable! 📱🌎 We also prepared itineraries and hotel reservations, but the officer only asked for our passports and a few questions: Where are you going? Which schools? How long? Where do you live in Canada? That’s it—nothing else checked. Whole process took less than 2 minutes! ⏳✅ 🏛️ Cornell University is often called one of the most beautiful campuses in the U.S. We visited in winter❄️—the hilly terrain and strong winds made walking a workout! If it snows, paths can get slippery, so wear good boots. I bet it’s even prettier in summer with blue skies and green lawns ☀️🌿, or in fall with colorful maple leaves 🍁. With a mid-size enrollment—not as big as state schools, but larger than private liberal arts colleges—it really depends on your preference! At night, we had dinner at Gola, a popular Italian restaurant in town 🍝. Saw lots of families—some here for college tours, others visiting their kids. 👨👩👧👧♥️ #CornellUniversity #Cornell #SpringBreak #AmericanUniversities #CornellVisit #Ithaca
