🇺🇸 Napa | Can Michelin Chefs Make Affordable Food Work? 🧐
During my recent trip to Napa Valley, I tried two highly hyped spots (more like takeout joints than full restaurants) founded by Michelin-starred chefs – aiming to bring luxury dining to the masses. The results were… mixed! 🍗 AdHoc Addendum Billed as "the best fried chicken ever" – I even rewatched that Sheep Kitchen episode to hype myself up! 🐑🍗 The online order/pickup process was smooth, and the garden seating was cute… but the chicken? Looked and smelled great But flavor-wise: less seasoned than KFC, less juicy than Chick-fil-A, less crispy than Church’s Not terrible, but not worth the buzz 🙃 🥐 Bouchon Bakery 🧁 This place was a WIN! Maybe it’s my sweet tooth talking, but everything was fantastic. Cheese Danish: Rich cream cheese with perfect tanginess + flaky pastry (still crisp next day!) Oh Oh (chocolate roll): Sweet but not overwhelming, with soft cake, creamy filling, dark chocolate coating, and crispy rice topping – I wanted another one immediately! So… can Michelin minds do affordable food? Sometimes yes, sometimes nope! Have you tried these spots? What did you think? #MichelinEats #NapaEats #FoodReview #BudgetGourmet #CaliforniaFood #BakeryLove
