๐บ๐ธ Napa Area Food Review โ Hits & Misses ๐ฝ๏ธ
Hereโs a roundup of my casual food adventures around Napa Valley and nearby towns: Napa Valley โ Osha Thai Recommended! Solid Thai food ๐ Highlights: Green Curry, Tuna Tower, Pad Thai, Mango Sticky Rice (a bit sweet but yummy) Skip: Pineapple Fried Rice โ just okay. โ Le Paris Artisan & Gourmet Cafรฉ Tried the Ube Croissant ๐ฅ โ packed with ube filling and cream! Perfect for ube lovers. Note: Itโs served cold. Not for you if you prefer warm pastries. ๐ฆช Hog Island Oyster Co. Not bad, not great. Oysters were fresh but small. Pricey for what you get. โ Gottโs Roadside Hard pass for me ๐ซ California Burger & Kimchi Burger were way too salty. Garlic Fries also over-salted. Still team In-N-Out forever! ๐ Yountville Cozy little town โ wanted to try Bistro Jeanty (French) but wait was too long. Ended up with desserts instead: ๐ง Bouchon Bakery Pistachio Macaron was good but very sweet. Not mind-blowing. ๐ซ Kollar Chocolate Fun stop! Lots of unique flavors: wine, whiskey, yuzu matcha, Earl Grey. Staff offered samples โ nice touch! Sonoma ๐ฅ the girl & the fig Major letdown ๐ต Duck Liver Mousse was too strong. Steak Tartare made my stomach unhappy. Steak was mediocre. Only liked the daily special potato soup. Petaluma โ Seared Walked in randomly โ turned out pretty good! Steak and Ahi Poke were solid. Linguine pasta was just okay. Atmosphere was a bit noisy though. Santa Rosa ๐จ Noble Folk Ice Cream & Pie Bar Nice ice cream โ tried Pistachio & Cherry. Not too sweet! Good if youโre passing by. #NapaEats #NapaValley #Sonoma #Petaluma #SantaRosa #BayAreaFood #WeekendEats
