๐บ๐ธ Napa Valley | Kenzo Estate
Spent the weekend at BottleRock Napa Valley watching Green Day ๐ธ, and stayed an extra day for wine tasting! This time, I wisely booked just one reservation-only winery โ the stunning Kenzo Estate Winery tucked in the mountains. Fun fact: The owner is Kenzo Tsujimoto, founder of CapCom (yes, the gaming giant! ๐ฎ). He bought this vast land in 1990 โ initially planning an amusement park, then a golf course, but eventually turned it into a winery (imagine building rides up here ๐). We booked the Tour & Tasting package (5 wines). They also offer tasting with pastries or bento boxes (limited availability โ book early!). Kenzo specializes in red wines ๐: Started with a complimentary sparkling rosรฉ Suzu Sampled three red blends: Rindo, Murasaki, Ai โ each with unique grape ratios, from silky to rich Also tried still rosรฉ Yui and Cabernet Franc (named after Kenzoโs hometown) White wines are rarely produced now โ limited to 3 bottles per person if available! The estate is immaculate, beautifully designed, with massive underground cellars storing barrels at perfect temps ๐ก๏ธ. Besides Napa, Kenzo tastings are only available in Japan! ๐ฏ๐ต We went at 10 AM โ foggy morning views over the vineyards were magical โ๏ธโจ. Service was exceptional โ if you buy 4+ bottles, they ship free! Heads up: Drive yourself โ Ubers/Lyfts often cancel pickups here ๐. After tasting, headed to downtown Napa for lunch at Scala Osteria & Bar โ their squid, pasta, and oysters were all delicious ๐ฆ๐๐ฆช. Downtown has plenty of casual walk-in tastings if youโre still thirsty! ๐ #BottleRock #Napa #KenzoEstate #WineTasting #CaliforniaTravel #USATravel #GamingMeetsWine #NapaVibes ๐ถ๐
