🇺🇸 New Mexico|Santa Fe City Walk 🚶‍♀️🌵

Santa Fe, the capital of New Mexico, blends Native American, Spanish colonial, Wild West cowboy, Mexican immigrant, and avant-garde art influences. Everywhere you look, you’ll find earthy adobe buildings and strings of bright red drying chilies 🌶️. Nearly all must-see spots are within walking distance around the Old Town Plaza, making it perfect for a half- or full-day city walk. 📍 Old Town Plaza The heart of historic Santa Fe, surrounded by ancient buildings, museums, shops, restaurants, galleries, and markets. 📍 Inn & Spa at Loretto My No. 1 favorite building in Santa Fe! This luxury hotel features high-end adobe architecture infused with Bohemian and Spanish cultural elements 💫. 📍 New Mexico Museum of Art on the Plaza My No. 2 pick—a beautiful blend of Spanish and adobe styles. The exhibits span from Spanish colonial times to contemporary paintings, sculptures, photos, and multimedia works. Worth visiting if you have time; skippable if short on time 🎨. 📍 IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA) No. 3 for me—its colorful colonnade is super photogenic 📸! The exhibits inside are just okay; can be skipped if you’re in a hurry. 📍 The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi The city’s Catholic cathedral, combining Gothic and Romanesque styles. The exterior spires reflect Gothic elements, while the interior feels grand and solemn—a striking contrast to Santa Fe’s adobe buildings ⛪. 📍 San Miguel Chapel The oldest church in the U.S., built in the early 17th century, blending Indigenous and Spanish cultures. 📍 Loretto Chapel Famous for its “miraculous” self-supporting spiral staircase—an architectural marvel 🌀. 📍 La Fonda on the Plaza One of the oldest hotels in the U.S., dating back to 1610 🏨. 📍 Canyon Road An artist hub lined with galleries and studios showcasing paintings, sculptures, photography, and crafts. So much creative energy here! 🎭 📍 Santa Fe Railyard Park Once the heart of the city’s railway system, now a revitalized urban park with preserved historical elements. Surrounded by cute shops, restaurants, and cafés ☕. #USA #TravelUSA #NewMexico #Santa Fe #CityWalk #SouthwestVibes 🧡📸
