Day 1: Albuquerque 📍 Old Town – Historic district with Spanish-Mexican fusion architecture. The Breaking Bad store is here! (Fig 3) 📍 Rattlesnake Museum – Lots of snakes 🐍, and you even get a “Certificate of Bravery”! 📍 Sandia Peak Tramway – Longest aerial tram in the US. Watched sunset at the top—super windy! 🌄 🍽️ El Pinto – Delicious Mexican food. Recommended: Red Chile Ribs & Combination Plate. 🌯🔥 Day 2: White Sands National Park 🏜️ Spent the day exploring the stunning gypsum dunes—like walking on another planet! ☀️👣 Day 3: White Sands → Santa Fe ☀️ Morning: Another visit to White Sands, then drove 4 hours to Santa Fe. 📍 Pistachioland – Tried their famous pistachio ice cream 🍦—so good! 🍽️ Only one Mexican restaurant along the highway—simple but authentic. 📍 Meow Wolf – Experienced the mind-bending House of Eternal Return exhibit. 🎭🔮 🏨 Fort Marcy Hotel Suites – Stayed in a spacious 2B2B suite. Day 4: Santa Fe Downtown 🚶♂️ Explored from north to south: 📍 New Mexico Museum of Art 🖼️ 📍 New Mexico History Museum 📜 📍 Santa Fe Plaza – Shops, restaurants, and lively vibes 🛍️ 📍 IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts – (Note: the colorful columns were under renovation 😢) 📍 The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi ⛪ 📍 La Fonda – Historic hotel with great atmosphere 📍 Loretto Chapel Museum – Saw the famous spiral staircase (can’t climb, $5 ticket) 🌀 📍 Inn and Spa at Loretto – Must-see iconic Adobe architecture 🧱 ♨️ Ten Thousand Waves – Booked a 90-minute Ofuro private room ($87/person). Includes hot bath, sauna, shower, lounge, and self-serve tea.
