🇺🇸 Not Recommended | A Letdown at DaGu Noodle in Cleveland ❌

I’ll be staying in Cleveland for two months and had saved a list of Chinese restaurants in advance. When I passed by this place, I initially thought it was a Japanese restaurant 🍱. The restaurant was pretty busy, so I thought, “Why not try it since it’s nearby?” The weather forecast totally tricked me—I didn’t bring enough warm clothes, and I was already cold and hungry. I figured a crowded place couldn’t be that bad… but turns out, it was. This is DaGu Noodle’s new location, right next to their old one. Let’s just say the rice noodles were overcooked and soggy 😣, and the quail eggs had a weird funky taste. When I asked about it, the staff insisted “that’s how it’s supposed to be” 🥴. The grilled skewers were also… not it. The only comfort was having a bowl of hot noodle soup on a cold, rainy day ☔️. That part was soothing, I’ll give ’em that. But overall, my first meal in Ohio was seriously disappointing. My expectations for the other Chinese restaurants around here have officially been lowered. Two months to go… gonna take it slow and keep exploring (or surviving?) 🙃 📍 DaGu Noodle Cleveland, OH #Cleveland #ClevelandEats #DaGuNoodle #FoodReview #Disappointing #ChineseFood #OhioEats
