🇺🇸 NYC New Opening|A Fish-Only "Steakhouse" 🐟✨

This new spot comes from the same team behind Saga, Crown Shy, and Overstory. Located in a prime area with a spacious, warm-yet-polished interior, the menu is tight like a steakhouse — but focused entirely on seafood, especially fish. The drink menu is extensive, divided into "Time" (classic cocktails) and "Tide" (organized by ocean regions — a cool touch). The staff’s recommendations were on point. I went solo but didn’t hold back — with seafood, you can order a few things without feeling weighed down. Verdict? Starters were just okay, but the mains really delivered. Highlights & lowlights: 🐟 Sardine Toast – Soft, chewy bread and juicy roasted peppers, but too many soft bones ruined the bite. 🐟 Mackerel Escabeche – Sherry-lemon sauce was bright and balanced, but the mackerel was unpleasantly fishy… had to send it back halfway through. 🐟 Longfin Squid – Simple cacio e pepe sauce, tender squid, crispy tentacles — pleasant but not memorable. ✨ Seared Swordfish – The standout! Dry-aged for concentrated flavor, incredibly tender and moist with a delicate crispness on the outside. Lightly browned butter notes, best with just a squeeze of lemon. So good. 🍰 Olive Oil Cake – Soft, not too sweet, with candied orange, pistachios, and a touch of tangy jam. Served with a smooth, creamy coconut sorbet — lovely finish. A solid spot if you’re a seafood lover, especially for that swordfish. Maybe skip the mackerel and go straight to the mains. #NYCSeafood #FishHouse #NewInNYC #DryAgedFish #NYCRestaurants #SoloDining #FoodReview #NYCEats #FineDining #SeafoodLover #CocktailMenu #NYCFoodie #WeekendTreat
