🇺🇸 Orlando | One-Day Two-Park Universal Studios Strategy
Orlando is home to the largest Universal Studios in the world, with three parks: ❶ Universal Studios Florida ❷ Universal’s Islands of Adventure ❸ Volcano Bay ❸ is a water park ⛲️ and not covered in this guide. ❶ and ❷ are located next to each other. This guide is for those short on time who want to cover both parks in one day — and don’t mind waking up early and walking a lot! 📌 What you’ll need: ❶ 1-Day 2-Park Ticket + Express Pass: around $300 per person 👉 Buy directly from the official app — third-party sites are often more expensive. ❷ Stay at any Universal Resort Hotel 🏨 (8 options with different price points) 👉 Hotel guests get early entry to Islands of Adventure (saves at least 1 hour in line for Hagrid’s ride!). Higher-tier hotels include free Express Pass — great value! ❸ A small flat bag 👉 Free lockers in the parks are only about 20cm height × 40cm width. Larger bags cost extra. 📌 5 rides that do NOT accept Express Pass: ❶ Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure ❷ Revenge of the Mummy ❸ VelociCoaster ❹ Fievel’s Playland (kids’ area) ❺ Pteranodon Flyers ❹ and ❺ are children’s rides — can generally be skipped. 📌 Strategy overview: 🔸 Follow the route shown in Figure ❷ — no backtracking! 🔸 Ride in the order suggested in Figure ❸. Many attractions are similar to those in other Universal parks — skip some based on your energy level and interest. 📌 Extra tips: 🔹 If staying at a Universal hotel, you can have merchandise purchased in the parks or CityWalk delivered to your room for free. 🔹 Each park has its own Harry Potter area: Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure, and Diagon Alley & Gringotts in Universal Studios. 🔹 One downside of this route: it’s not ideal for watching the parade, which takes place in Universal Studios (not Islands). But you can walk between parks in about 10–15 minutes. 🔹 If you want to see the parade, check the timing at guest services to avoid missing it! #USA #Travel #Orlando #UniversalStudios #ThemeParkHacks
