🇺🇸 Orlando Disney on a Budget: Accommodation, Transport & Park Tips
This guide focuses on where to stay and how to get around. For park-specific tips, check out my other posts! 🏨 Accommodation: To save money, I stayed at a hotel near Disney (not on-site). It included breakfast 🥓 and a free shuttle 🚌 — but the shuttle only ran twice a day at fixed times. Since I always stayed until park closing, I only used it once. The rest of the time, I took Uber (around $10-15 per ride). If your budget allows, I’d recommend staying at a Disney hotel 😅. Book early for rates as low as $100+ per night. On-site hotels offer free transport to all parks. After a long day, you’ll really appreciate not having to walk far or wait for a ride — money really does buy comfort! 🚗 Transport: Besides ride-sharing, Disney World has an amazing (and free!) internal transport system: Buses 🚍 Monorail 🚝 (connects Epcot and Magic Kingdom) Skyliner gondolas 🚡 (connects Epcot and Hollywood Studios) Water Taxis 🚤 and Friendship Boats ⛴️ (see image 1) Unless traveling with a big family, you don’t need to rent a car if you’re staying near Disney. Hotel parking: $20/night Theme park parking: $40-50/day With gas and rental fees, driving is not worth it! 🏰 Choosing Parks: For Disney IP fans or families with kids 👶, Magic Kingdom is a must! It has the castle 🏰, fireworks 🎆, and the most magical vibe. Since I’ve been to Shanghai Disneyland, Disneyland Anaheim, and visited MK 12 years ago, I skipped it this time. My personal ranking of the other three parks: ✨ Epcot > Hollywood Studios > Animal Kingdom ✨ If you want to cover all 4 parks in 3 days, try: Day 1: Magic Kingdom Day 2: Epcot Day 3: Hollywood Studios + Animal Kingdom This makes the most of your time! ⏳ 📷 Photo Tips: Highly recommend splitting a PhotoPass! I loved the random special effects and videos 📹. Photographers will pose you 💃 and even capture your roller coaster reactions 🎢 — such a fun way to preserve memories! 💖 🌍 The Disney vibe is truly unmatched — it really is “The Happiest Place on Earth!” Don’t forget to: Meet your favorite characters 🤗 Explore the shops 🛍️ Enjoy a nice meal at a themed restaurant You don’t need to stress about how many rides you get on or where to watch parades/fireworks 🎆. Online guides can be overwhelming — just go with the flow and enjoy! #Orlando #Disney #HappiestPlaceOnEarth
