This is my THIRD time writing about GIJIN… because I’m absolutely obsessed!! 😭❤️ Seriously, how can I resist fresh, melt-in-your-mouth sashimi and a constantly changing menu that always lures me back? 🍣 Beef Tataki This was my fourth time trying their beef tataki, and it still blew my mind! 🤯 Seared beef (perfect medium-rare) wrapped around slippery fiddlehead ferns, crisp white asparagus, and fragrant onion threads… all dipped in a smoky savory sauce. Take it all in one bite and—OMG 😱!! It’s insanely good every time. Ranking these? Impossible. They’re all winners 🏆! 🍣 Bara Chirashi Bowl Fresh fish over sushi rice 🍚🐟 — simple, clean, and so satisfying. Just eat eat eat! 😋 🍣 Sushi Highlights We tried: 1️⃣ Aburi Salmon Belly 2️⃣ Madai 3️⃣ Sawara 4️⃣ Hamachi 5️⃣ SCALLOP (we ordered two—it’s that good!) 6️⃣ King Salmon 7️⃣ Toro The scallop is always a star 🌟 — so plump, sweet, and buttery… almost like silken tofu but fresher and smoother. Zero fishiness, just pure heaven 😇💫. The Aburi Salmon Belly is lightly torched—offering a beautiful contrast between raw and cooked, soft and structured. It’s like yin and yang on a piece of fish 🐟🔥! 🍣 Hand Rolls 1️⃣ Eel Hand Roll 2️⃣ Spicy Tuna Hand Roll Still delicious, though I felt the portions might be smaller? 🧐 But the eel roll… wow. Garlic mayo with unagi and a touch of pickled daikon—so flavorful and balanced! 🍣 Matcha Tiramisu Do I even need to explain? This is GIJIN’s signature dessert and I order it Every. Single. Time. 🍵🍰 The cream is extra rich, the matcha sponge is moist, and those little chocolate crunchies on top?! Perfect texture, not too sweet—absolute perfection.
