🇺🇸 Providence Day Trip – A Perfect Getaway from Boston! 🚆✨
Start your morning at 📍South Station or 📍Back Bay and take the Purple Line (T) or Amtrak to Providence. The ride takes just 30-60 minutes. As soon as you step off the train, you’ll feel the calm, quiet vibe – a peaceful contrast to busy Boston! 🏙️➡️🍃 Traffic is light here except during rush hours. We walked uphill past the prestigious 📍RISD (Rhode Island School of Design), then explored the beautiful Ivy League campus of 📍Brown University. The top-floor library offers stunning views of the bay – who wouldn’t feel inspired to study here? 😍📚 For lunch, we headed to 📍Jacky’s for Beijing duck and Japanese dishes. Yeah, the place seems like it does a bit of everything, but trust me – the duck (with skin, scallion, cucumber, and sauce) was the best we’ve had in the US! 🦆🥒 Then we stopped at 📍Pastiche for their famous fruit tart – pretty and delicious. No wonder everyone recommends it! 🍓🥧 After eating, we wandered around 📍Downtown, then spent the afternoon at the 📍RISD Museum. The collection includes works by famous artists and many alumni pieces. We loved reading the detailed descriptions – perfect for art newbies like us to learn, discuss, and be amazed together! 🎨🤯 At sunset, we took a peaceful stroll along the 📍Providence River – the night lights are beautiful, and the streets are quiet. 🌉✨ Dinner was at 📍Johunger for authentic Xinjiang cuisine – try the Big Plate Chicken! A bit spicy, but so flavorful. 🍗🌶️ We ended the night playing cards back at Brown before catching the late train to Boston (the last Purple Line leaves close to midnight!). ♠️♥️ If you plan to stay longer or come back, don’t miss: 📍Newport for ocean views 📍Cliff Walk for scenic hiking You can take a bus directly from Providence Station or even a ferry! 🚌⛴️ Perfect for a weekend trip from Boston! #CityWalk #Providence #BostonDayTrip #BrownUniversity #RISD #TravelNewEngland #FruitTart #PublicTransport 🚶♀️📸
