🇺🇸 Rochester’s Mediterranean Peak – El Greco 🏛️✨
Tucked away in East Rochester, this place is an absolute gem 💎. Totally subjective, but I’m convinced this is the FLAVOR KING of my Rochester food journey so far 🤤. Here’s what I tried: 🦐 A shrimp stew special – decent, but honestly something you could probably make at home. 🦑 Fried Calamari – crispy, tasty, no complaints! 🍖 Lamb Chops – a bit pricier, but OH. MY. GOD. So tender, so flavorful 🤤 Their sides are simple but genius: well-seasoned roasted potato wedges, warm soft pita, and this refreshing yogurt dip with cucumber and dill. I literally can’t stop eating — it’s a delicious cycle that always ends in a food coma 🥙💥. The owner is Greek 🇬🇷, and when you pay the bill, they give you these hard candies that taste a bit like star anise? Wild and fun experience! I haven’t been to Greece myself, but friends who have say El Greco tastes pretty damn authentic. I trust them 👌. The restaurant itself is cozy — not huge — but I bet on a nice day, their outdoor seating would be perfect. Can’t wait to go back with friends and try more dishes! #RochesterNY #ElGreco #GreekFood #MediterraneanCuisine #FoodReview #RocFoodie
