๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ San Francisco | San Jose | OMG the Bay Area is So Delicious ๐Ÿ˜ญ

๐Ÿฃ Shoji ๐Ÿ“140 New Montgomery St #1, San Francisco, CA 94105 OMG, the uni don is heavenly! Iโ€™m such a foodie โ€” I already had dinner but still ate a second one here. Even though I wasnโ€™t hungry anymore, I couldnโ€™t resist. The sea urchin was so fresh and sweet, the roe salty and savory, the sweet shrimp tender and soft, and the creamy egg yolk tied it all together perfectly. FYI โ€” itโ€™s $48 a bowl ๐Ÿ˜… Not cheap! The sweet shrimp miso soup was so delicious I finished it before I could even take a picture ๐Ÿ˜‚ It was incredibly rich, with the shrimp flavor fully infused into the broth! The chicken wings were okay โ€” nothing special. The edamame? Donโ€™t order it! Itโ€™s a weird, super sour experimental dish ๐Ÿ˜– ๐Ÿข Noren Izakaya ๐Ÿ“1701 Powell St, San Francisco, CA 94133 Not sure where my sister found this yakitori spot, but itโ€™s amazing! So satisfying! Itโ€™s classic, straightforward yakitori โ€” no fancy sauces, just simple seasoning with salt and quality ingredients. My top picks (in order): Wagyu beef (absolutely #1) Beef tongue Chicken wings Chicken thigh Gizzard Mushrooms Only downside: itโ€™s hard to get full here โ€” not many carb options, more of a drinks-and-snacks spot. The gyoza and dessert werenโ€™t great. We also tried a creative โ€œmapo tofu udonโ€ โ€” my sister loved it, but I thought it was just okay ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ ๐Ÿœ Yum Noodles (Yang Yu Xing) โ€” A Hunan-style noodle spot in San Jose Slurping noodles is pure joy ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ The stir-fried pork with dried tofu noodles โ€” OMG ! My sister had the pickled mustard greens with shredded pork noodles, and we were both too busy devouring our bowls to even talk ๐Ÿ˜‚ So fragrant! If I had to nitpick: the pork and dried tofu noodles were a bit oily, the tofu wasnโ€™t super flavorful, and the noodles werenโ€™t the fresh handmade kind I grew up with (my familyโ€™s from Hunan โ€” Iโ€™m half Xiang girl, and we always had noodles freshly cut before cooking). But for the US, this is seriously impressive! I feel like Iโ€™m just being picky ๐Ÿ˜… The restaurant was packed with Hunan locals โ€” a great sign! #FoodieHeaven #BayAreaEats #SanFranciscoFood #SanJoseNoodles #UniDon #YakitoriLove #HunanNoodles #SoHappyRightNow ๐Ÿฑ๐ŸŽ‰
