If you’re visiting Napa Valley, do NOT miss The Charter Oak! This was hands-down the most delicious meal I’ve had in California 😍. I didn’t even take photos of the salad at first – after days of "food desert" struggles, my expectations were low. But the moment that fresh, sweet salad melted on my tongue, I knew this place was special! 🌿💫 Every dish that followed was flawless – beautiful, flavorful, and served with top-notch hospitality. The pork dish (shaped like a maple leaf 🍁) is actually made with shiso leaves – order it using my third photo as a reference, you won’t regret it! For dessert, try the salted caramel peanut ice cream 🍦 – a perfect balance of sweet and salty that’s absolutely addictive (I forgot to take pics again – too busy enjoying it!). The chef 👨‍🍳 came out to chat, and we learned that Napa has a prestigious chef school (like the American Le Cordon Bleu – forgot the name 😅), and many graduates intern here. Honestly, this spot beats some Michelin-starred restaurants in Napa (no names dropped 😉).
