πΊπΈ Turns out Philly has more than one Uzbek grill!
I finally got to check out Samarkand Steakhouse β and their samsas (baked dumplings) are absolutely incredible! π₯ The lamb filling is flavorful with no gaminess, and the pastry is super flaky. We tried both shapes of samsas, and aside from the form, they tasted pretty much the same β both delicious! π The plov (rice pilaf) felt a bit oily at first, but it grew on me with every bite. The rice wasnβt too hard β just the right texture, not undercooked at all. One standout was the soup noodle β it reminded me of Chinese braised beef noodles π β and the noodles were so good we were literally fighting over the last bowl! π What fell a bit short for me was the grilled meat β I personally prefer the kebabs from the other Uzbek spot in town. But hey, maybe thatβs just me β I noticed many customers here love their grilled dishes! The only real miss was their house special drinkβ¦ not a fan π ββοΈ Overall though, Iβd still strongly recommend this place! Almost every dish (except the kebabs, in my opinion) outshines the other Uzbek restaurant. β Bonus: They offer different daily specials from Monday to Friday! π π Samarkand Steakhouse 1135 Bustleton Pike , Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053 #PhillyFood #PhillyLife #HiddenGems #Philly #PhillyArea #PhillyStudents #PhillyFoodReview #UzbekFoodPhilly #Philadelphia #Pennsylvania
