🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Celebrating at Noto in Edinburgh

Visited Noto in Edinburgh for a birthday treat Booked in advance on Google Maps and mentioned it was a birthday, received a handwritten card 🎉 The menu is a fusion of Western and Japanese cuisine 🍽️ North Sea crab, warm butter, sourdough 🦀 Served with warm butter and sourdough bread, this dish was overly salty but the combination of butter and crab meat was divine, though it needed the bread to balance the saltiness… Trout temaki, yuzu kosho, daikon, keta 🍣 A refreshing hand roll with a rich texture and layers of flavor, the seaweed was crispy, the fish was fresh, and the roe popped delightfully in the mouth. Beef tartare, black garlic, crumpet The beef tartare was standard, but the crumpet that came with it was particularly enjoyable 🥐 Wild bass, ponzu, wasabi mayo, pickled squash 🐟 My favorite dish of the night! The wild sea bass was incredibly tender, it melted in the mouth like a kiss. The combination of citrus ponzu and wasabi mayonnaise perfectly enhanced the fish’s freshness and eliminated any fishiness, making it very refreshing. Potato udon, wild mushrooms, xo 🍜 The variety of mushrooms was impressive, and they were crispy after being fried, adding a nice texture to the udon. The potato udon was a novel experience, but it was also on the salty side. Chocolate miso bar, hazelnut, salted milk ice cream 🍫 Delicious! Layer upon layer of chocolate with a rich texture and just the right amount of sweetness. The salted milk ice cream was the perfect complement to the chocolate, balancing the sweetness beautifully. The cost is around 40-50 pounds per person, which is worth it if you’re looking to splurge. #UKShopping #UnitedKingdom #RestaurantRecommendations #AtmosphericRestaurants #FeastForTheSenses #Cuisine #Michelin #Edinburgh #EdinburghRestaurants #EdinburghMichelin
