100% authentic Bangkok flavor
🏠 Name: Saranrom Thai 📍 Address: 81-10 Broadway, Queens, NY 11373 After seeing it raved about on Xiaohongshu and getting nonstop recommendations from my roommate, I finally checked out this Michelin-recommended Thai spot—and wow, it lived up to the hype! Final verdict: In Elmhurst, where great Thai food is everywhere, this place is truly one-of-a-kind❗️ They’ve got unique dishes and Bangkok street snacks you won’t find elsewhere, and as someone who’s been to Bangkok—trust me, it’s authentic 👍 🇹🇭 Appetizers 1️⃣ Moo Ping (Grilled Pork Skewers) The pork is charred to perfection, sweet-savory, and the dipping sauce tastes like a mix of sweet bean sauce and black pepper sauce. My friend and I both loved it—this is exactly the vibe you get from Bangkok street stalls~ 🥢 2️⃣ Yum Pla Duk Fu (Crispy Fish Mango Salad) The fish is shredded and fried until it’s super crunchy—crunches like sand when you bite into it! Tossed with pickled green mango, it’s delicious and totally unique. Recommend trying if you’ve never had it (portions are huge, and it’s better hot!) 🥭 🇹🇭 Main Dishes 3️⃣ Pineapple Curry Duck with Crispy Skin First time seeing this dish! The broth is coconut curry with pineapple, raisins, and lychee—creamy with a hint of fruit sweetness 🍍 The duck skin is crispy, but the meat itself is a bit bland. 4️⃣ Southern Spicy Minced Pork This tastes exactly like what I had at a Bangkok market! But fair warning—it’s super spicy, with strong herb flavors 🌶️ If you can’t handle heat, skip this. 5️⃣ Thai Chili Paste Fried Rice My roommate once packed this for me and said it was “life-changing”—I took one bite and agreed… then the second bite set my mouth on fire 😂 Still ate a whole bowl through the tears, though. 🇹🇭 Dessert & Drinks 6️⃣ Durian Sticky Rice They’re actually more famous for mango sticky rice, but I wanted to try durian. It was way too sweet, though, and served warm—just not my thing 😅 7️⃣ Thai Iced Tea Solid, but I personally prefer the one at Boon Chu next door ☕️ 💰 Average per person: $25–$35 #GratefulForThisMeal #NewYorkFood #NewYorkLife #NewYorkThaiFood #NewYorkFoodie
