12 Years Ago Learning Photography in New York | Part I I ๐ธโจ
As soon as I arrived in New York, I immediately dove into my studies, which was a huge challenge for my English listening and speaking skills. ๐๐ธ To be honest, during the first semester, aside from the technical courses, I could barely understand more than half of the discussion classes through a mix of guessing and context clues. But even that half gave me a new understanding of photography, such as this famous "photography triangle diagram": Photography is a triangular relationship involving the photographer, the subject, and the viewer. These three elements are interconnected and interdependent, together forming the essence of photography. ๐๐ธ So when a photographer works on a project, it's not just about pleasing themselves; they also have to consider how others will view the work. As someone viewing a photographic piece, one can also try to put themselves in the photographer's shoes to appreciate the world through their eyes. ๐๐ธOpenness and inclusivity are the two most important aspects when appreciating visual art works. Finally, I've attached some photos I took during my year in New York. I've named this series "Dream City." #Photography #ArtPhotography ๐ธโจ
