2 Months Living in Charles Darwin University
It’s already been two months since I arrived in Darwin! 🟢 Living in CDU Dorm: When I first moved in, the dorm was completely empty 😩, and I had so many complaints. But after buying enough stuff and decorating it into my cozy little nest 😍, I never want to leave! 💕 Plus, all my classes can be taken online, so I’ve become even more of a homebody 👀. I spend my time doing nails, playing the piano, and experimenting with my coffee machine—I just love staying in my room and doing my own thing 🙃. Living on campus also means the beach 🌊 is just a 5-minute walk away. Whenever I’m tired from studying, I go there to relax or take a stroll with friends 🚶♀️. 🟠 Thoughts on Darwin: When I’m not in class, I love going out 🤾♀️. If you enjoy the outdoors, you’ll love Darwin—the sky here is the most beautiful ❤️💙💜🖤💛💚🧡. Dry season is coming soon, and I’ve heard it gets even prettier 😃. Before coming, everyone told me Darwin was remote and boring, with inconvenient living conditions, but I find it quite convenient! There are many Asian grocery stores selling Chinese ingredients (enoki mushrooms!!! Hotpot base, even mosquito repellent ‼️). Online shopping does take a while—my Temu order took a month—but compared to where I used to live (Port Hedland), this is heaven 💋. 🟤 Study Experience: My studies are gradually getting harder 🤨. I originally wanted to find a part-time job, but now that the coursework is more challenging, I feel like I’m studying all the time, and there just aren’t enough hours in the day 🙃. Outside of studying, the university organizes lots of fun activities—check out my Easter bunny 🐰! Before the teacher’s guidance, it was a completely different animal 🦓. 🔴 Church Vibes: The church here has such a great atmosphere, with lots of young people and plenty of activities. In small towns, churches are usually full of elderly folks, but here, I feel like I can actually make friends. The music 🎶 is also amazing 😘. #Australia #WorkingHoliday #WHV #Darwin #InternationalStudent
