4 Days 3 Nights: How to Play Las Vegas
Last week, I flew from San Jose to Vegas—flights, stays, food, and fun all included, and it cost less than 6000! Totally worth it! ✈️ SJC-LAS Budget airline Spirit, round-trip for 2 people: $135 (early arrival, late departure—full four days of fun!). 🏨 Hotel Tip 1️⃣ $420 for 3 nights. Not many five-star hotels in the desert offer free and unlimited bottled water! Remember to call the front desk for slippers and a toothbrush. 2️⃣ Used the “sandwich trick” with a $20 tip to upgrade to a Sphere View room! 3️⃣ The hotel is a bit away from the main Strip and has no casino downstairs, so it’s nice and quiet! Right across is a shopping mall with plenty of food and stores—super convenient! 💃 Shows 1️⃣ A must in Vegas—caught the popular Shin Lim magic show 🃏. Surprisingly amazing, mind-blowing tricks, and great audience interaction. A solid 10/10! 2️⃣ Also watched a show at Sphere—cool visuals, but the content was a bit boring. 🚶 Sightseeing 1️⃣ Vegas attractions are like one long walkable street—from the Welcome Sign in the south to Encore Hotel in the north, passing by Coca-Cola Store, M&M’s World, ABC Stores, Flamingo, fountains, and more. 2️⃣ Rode the Deuce Bus (mentioned in my last post)—hop on and off wherever you like. Too hot during the day, so nights are better for photos and walking! 3️⃣ Poker room ♠️: Friendlier than Macau—$100 minimum, $300 max buy-in. My husband fulfilled his dream here (and, of course, contributed generously 😂). Lots of other gaming machines to kill time too! 🍿 Food Highlights 1️⃣ Shang Noodle: A local noodle hotspot—recommended by a Hawaiian Uber driver as her favorite! Soup noodles > stir-fried noodles. 2️⃣ Urth Caffè: Packed inside Wynn—huge menu with amazing mains, desserts, and drinks. Tried the new chocolate pistachio pancake + Thai milk tea for $33 (huge portion, enough for two!). 3️⃣ Miznon (Venetian, 1st floor): Incredible Middle Eastern street food. Must-try: Ribeye Minute Steak—juicy and affordable! 4️⃣ Tacos El Gordo: Late-night Mexican taco spot with long lines. Pick your meat, then pay. Recommended: pork and beef tongue, paired with a fountain drink (pineapple juice + water—drank three cups!). 5️⃣ Wok to Walk: On the 3rd floor of Fashion Show Mall (across from the hotel). Tastes like Hong Kong-style stir-fry—ate here twice! Vegas is way more lively than the Bay Area! Drinking water is crucial—and bring lip balm, because it’s crazy dry! #US #Nevada #Las Vegas
