5D4N Perth Itinerary Without a Car

🟡 Day 1: City Exploration Stayed at a CBD hotel for convenience 📍First stop: Elizabeth Quay (transit hub nearby) 📍Transport tip: Buy a $10 day pass at the station (no need for a SmartRider card) *SmartRider costs $10 card fee + $10 minimum top-up = $20 total* Took bus 950/995 from Elizabeth Quay → UWA (get off at Mounts Bay Rd) Lucky timing - visited during orientation day & had lunch on campus 📍UWA highlights: Compact campus - iconic buildings under 1 hour 📍Blue Boat House: 10-min walk from UWA (Jay Chou's famous spot!) Returned via bus 950 to explore Art Gallery or Kings Park CBD is tiny - just 2 main streets (half-day is enough) 🟡 Day 2: Rottnest Island (Quokka Island!) 📍Ferry: Rottnest Express (B Shed Fremantle) 8:30am departure → 5:30pm return (40-min ride) 📍Island transport options: Bike / Bus / Walking 🚲 Bike rental: Book with ferry ticket or rent on arrival (near pier) 🚌 Island Explorer Bus: $30 (hop-on/hop-off, every 20 mins) Scan QR codes at stops for schedules 📍My mix: Bus + walking 📍4pm: Returned to Stop 1 for quokka selfies + snacks before leaving Top stops: Stop 3 (Henrietta Rock) Stops 5-7: Most stunning bays (swim if sunny!) Stop 11 (West End): Whale/dolphin spotting (bring binoculars!) *"Cliffside red leaves + white flowers with ocean winds - absolutely breathtaking!" (Pic 11-12)* Stops 12-18: Scenic bays (walked from Stop 16 → saw quokkas & black lizards!) Verdict: Bus is stress-free; biking is steep & tiring. 5 hours enough if not stopping everywhere. #Perth #StudyAbroadLife #AustraliaTravel #WesternAustralia #UWA #BlueBoatHouse #TravelGuide #MyLifeInAustralia
