A $60 Per Person Three-Star Michelin Date 🌟
I finally made it to EMP’s new bar, and I was genuinely blown away by the bar food! 🍔 🌟 Drinking two cocktails and ordering four dishes, the average cost per person was only $65 before tax. We ate really full, and it felt like the most cost-effective Michelin three-star experience ever! 📍 Clemente Bar, which requires a reservation but is not hard to book. The entrance is right at the EMP main door. 🍊The ambiance is quite romantic and artsy, with a classic New York vibe. The waitstaff, probably trained together with EMP, are not 100% polished but have a one-star standard. 🌟Since EMP switched to a vegetarian menu, I haven’t been back. The first two years were met with mixed reviews. I originally thought that spending $300-$400 on a bunch of dishes wasn’t worth it, but after trying the refined vegetarian three-star experience (a secondary line) that has been perfected over three to four years, even I, a carnivore, found it delicious enough to come back for a tasting menu. 🥃 I tried two drinks: Real Talk and Army Brat. 🍊The mixology is fantastic and very tasty, on par with DCP/Overstory. In terms of being impressive, we still prefer Martiny’s. The glass for Real Talk couldn’t be more New York. 🌟Army Brat is a refreshing sweet drink, with two slices on top that taste like fruit leather! 🍊 I definitely want to try the espresso martini float next time, which is like a dessert drink. #NewYork 🗽
