🌟 A Beautiful Meal in Paris | One-Michelin-Starred Neige d’été 🍽️✨

For our wedding anniversary, my husband and I dined at Neige d’été, a one-Michelin-starred Japanese-French fusion restaurant. 🎉💖 ♥️ From the very first amuse-bouche, you can feel the difference from traditional French one-starred restaurants—it’s all about 【omotenashi】, the Japanese concept of hospitality. ➡️ The Iberian ham tart and tempura shiso leaf, a crispy yet crumbly appetizer, were thoughtfully served in an upside-down shallow glass cup. This way, guests can hold the glass while eating to avoid crumbs falling on the table or their clothes. 🥂🍴 🎁 Additionally, my husband mentioned in the reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary. After the final two desserts, the restaurant brought out a special small cake with a candle, the plate inscribed with “Joyeux Anniversaire.” They even offered to take photos for us. In contrast, last year at another one-starred restaurant, Les Foudres in Cognac, my birthday note in the reservation was completely ignored. 🎂📸 🧑🏻‍🍳 One of the chefs, who speaks Chinese, personally came to greet us, asking about our preferences and explaining the dishes. For the first time, we fully understood the menu explanations at a Michelin restaurant—thanks to his help! 🗣️👨‍🍳 ❄️ We chose the seasonal Neige d’été menu. The overall impression was that it perfectly suits Asian tastes. From the refreshing oceanic flavors of 【marinated amberjack with kombu】 to the deep umami of 【duck consommé with oysters】, each dish explored a delicate balance of flavors. The main course, 【scallops two ways】, combined the sweetness of fennel caviar with the richness of butter sauce, while the 【charcoal-grilled Normandy beef】 was enhanced with smoked burdock and Kampot pepper. 🐟🥩 🍰 My favorite was the first dessert, 【grapefruit cheesecake with lychee mousse】. Often, the first dessert in French cuisine is a citrus sorbet, which can be too sour for my taste. Here, the grapefruit was just the right touch. The second dessert, 【honey-glazed pear with chocolate caramel】, was a classic French finish—and “not too sweet,” which is my highest praise for desserts. 🍐🍫 🤗 In summary, I highly recommend it. The meal was delicate, refreshing, and the service was impeccable. Asian diners won’t be disappointed. ❓ One small suggestion: the restaurant lighting isn’t ideal for photos—neither for people nor dishes. The live photos showed noticeable flickering, which took away from the ambiance. 📸💡 #CaptureTheMoment #ThisTemplateIsSomething #100RestaurantsChallenge #ParisFoodExploration #ParisFoodie #OneMichelinStar #ValentinesInParis
