A Beautiful Southern-Themed Art Museum 🎨🏛️

This museum is absolutely worth a visit! The atrium, located inside the city’s former post office, feels grand and historic—a striking contrast to the modern galleries inside. The Southern/modern exhibition is organized thematically, creating a cohesive flow between different aspects of Southern life. I especially appreciated the introductory texts and self-reflective questions at the start of each section—they really deepened the experience. 💭✨ What impressed me the most was the LaToya M. Hobbs exhibition in the Gordon Contemporary Artists Project Gallery. Her powerful woodcut prints depicting scenes from her daily life felt both personal and legendary. 🖼️🌿 If you can see it before it closes on April 28, 2024, I highly recommend it!
