A Blissful 3-Day Escape to Townsville & Magnetic Island! ✈️🌴

Finally took a long-overdue getaway with friends to Magnetic Island in late March—even used a day of annual leave to maximize the fun! 😆 Here’s how it went: ✈️ Day 1: Brisbane → Townsville → Magnetic Island 1h45min flight (my first since COVID—masked up the whole time 😷). Airport to city: Shared shuttle ($15 for 2) or Uber (same price). Ask staff if you can’t find the shuttle! Pro tip: Buy round-trip ferry tickets (saves $1! 💰). Stay: Base Backpackers (booked 3 weeks early—only 2 ensuite rooms left!). Ocean views = unbeatable! 🌊 🏝️ Day 2: Island Adventures 🐨 The Forts National Park: Spotted wild koalas napping in trees!
