A Chance Encounter with Monet at the Sompo Museum 🎨🌟
Original Plan: Spend 3 whole days in Tokyo, visiting DisneySea and exploring art museums. 🎢 🎨 Reality 1: On the first day, I went to DisneySea. On the second day, I found out that the Western Art Museum was closed until next Thursday... 🌟Timely Feedback: Plans can't keep up with changes... On Thursday, a friend mentioned that Japanese New Year is around New Year's Day, which I should have paid more attention to... New Plan: So, I decided to visit the Sompo Museum to see the Van Gogh masterpieces (the crown jewels of the museum)! 🎨 Reality 2: Not only did I see the Van Gogh masterpieces (Sunflowers), but I also encountered interesting Venetian school landscape paintings 🌟 . I savored the beauty of these "exclusive custom-made" views that wealthy patrons would admire at home (in Italian, "veduta"). Discussing the details with Pom made it anything but boring... And most importantly, I stumbled upon two Monet paintings, which filled my heart with joy and made this trip truly fulfilling. 🌸 🎨 A Few Insights: (Cliché Version) Life is a box of chocolates... you never know what the next one tastes like... 🌟 (Slightly Innovative Version) Beautiful things are worth striving for — Joan Chen 🎨 (Self-Encouragement Version) It seems I need to do more homework before coming next time. Yeah! 🌟The Monet exhibition at the Sompo Museum ends on February 11, 2025. Let's go! #Tokyo 🌇🌟
