A Cheap Bookstore with a Classical Atmosphere in New York SoHo π
π On a drizzly afternoon in New York SoHo, I was strolling when I stumbled upon an old bookstore. Nestled in a typical classical SoHo building, the warm light spilling through the windows seemed especially charming in the gloomy rain. π π As I pushed the door open, I discovered it was a cheap bookstore. Each book was priced at just a dollar or two! Yet, the decor was far from the casual or shabby look of a typical second-hand store. Instead, it exuded an air of classical elegance. Two exquisite wooden spiral staircases wound their way up to the second-floor gallery, where affordable second-hand clothes were sold. π π The bookstore was spacious, with a cozy cafΓ© at the back. Sitting here, sipping a hot cup of coffee and randomly pulling a book from the wall of shelves to read, is the perfect way to while away a winter afternoon. πΊ π The storeβs inventory is almost entirely donated, and its operations are supported by volunteers. That means 100% of the profits go to fund the services provided by Housing Works, which offers affordable housing. π π Housing Works Bookstore 126 Crosby St, New York, NY 10012 #NewYork#Bookstore #SecondHandBookstore ππ
